What are X's username rules?
Usernames must be 4–15 characters, using only letters, numbers, and underscores. They can't contain the words 'twitter' or 'admin', and can't be only numbers.
How do I know if a username is available?
Visit x.com/yourname — if you see 'This account doesn't exist', it may be available. Some names are taken by suspended or deactivated accounts and remain unavailable even if no profile shows.
Can I change my X username later?
